Phase 2: The Interpreting Voyage
This phase is an introduction to the field of interpreting targeted to participants who are heritage users of ASL. Instruction is tailored to the unique needs of Codas and focuses on language, interpreting skills development, and cultural knowledge. It allows for participants who share the experience of growing up with Deaf parents to share and grow and learn about the field of interpreting. |
This is a blended instruction course, with an online component, face-to-face meetings conducted through video conferencing technology and a one-week onsite session where you meet with the other participants face to face. Dates for the onsite sessions will be announced during the course.
